Twitter Clone Development Cost: What You Pay and What You Do Not
Quotes for a public microblogging network from scratch are open-ended, because moderation, advertising and a developer platform each become their own project. This page separates the one-time price of the finished software from the tailored work and running costs that sit around it, so you can budget with the whole picture.

What the Twitter Clone Price Actually Buys
The price is $3,699, paid once, for software that already exists and works. You are not paying for discovery, wireframes or a sprint backlog. You are paying for a finished web app, a mobile app, an operator console and the API beneath them, plus the labor of branding and deploying them for you. Because the product is built, the invoice describes a delivery date, not an estimate of how long a team might need to invent it.
That makes it a capital purchase rather than a subscription. There is no per-seat charge, no monthly license and no cut of what your network earns. After handover you hold the source, so any later spending is a decision about new features and not a toll on the ones you already have. A finance lead can book it once, and the number will still be correct next year when the network has ten times the members.
Three Ways to Pay for a Microblogging Network
Buying a finished build, commissioning custom code and renting a hosted service all deliver a social product. They differ sharply in what you own afterwards and how predictable the bill is, which is where the real cost lives.
| Aspect | Ready-made with GetFame | Custom build | Renting a SaaS |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upfront cost | $3,699 one-time | Large and open-ended | Low or none |
| Time to launch | Six working days | Many months | Days, within the vendor's template |
| Source code | Full source is yours | Yours once delivered | Never yours |
| Recurring fees | None from us, only hosting | Hosting plus maintenance staff | Recurring, rising with growth |
| Revenue share | None | None | Often a cut or tiered fee |
| Moderation tools | Report queue and audit log included | Built only if scoped | Whatever the vendor provides |
| Price certainty | Fixed before work starts | Drifts as scope changes | Changes when the vendor decides |
| Control of policy | Complete | Complete | Limited by vendor terms |
Inside the Fixed Twitter Clone Price
Each line below ships with the one-time price. Nothing here is billed separately, and nothing is withheld for a later tier. The list covers the member apps, the operator console, the interface the apps share, the branding work and the documents and support that come with the handover.
- Unencrypted source code for every surface
- The Next.js member web application
- The Flutter mobile app with an Android build
- The REST API with consistent responses
- The operator console on its own login
- Firestore rules, indexes and typed converters
- Schema, ERD, API collection and security handbook
- Your name, logo and colors across all clients
- Deployment onto infrastructure you control
- Help preparing store submissions for the apps
- Sixty days of technical support after handover
- One year of free updates to the product
What Pushes the Twitter Clone Budget Up
The platform price does not move, but your total can, because a public network invites more requirements. These are the usual ones we set up, each scoped and agreed in writing before work begins.
Payment processors
A Stripe setup is referenced in the build. Taking tier fees, tips and creator payments through other processors or local wallets means integrating each one against your own merchant accounts, and the effort grows with every currency and payout method you add. Each processor also has its own onboarding and rules for what kind of platform it will accept, so settle which one you want before you scope the work.
Automated content screening
The queue is staffed by people. If you expect enough volume that humans cannot read everything, a classifier for text and images becomes an integration we add, with its own tuning, review process and vendor, and it deserves scoping before launch. A classifier also produces mistakes in both directions, so someone still needs to review what it flags and what it lets through.
Video at scale
Members can post video, but adaptive playback for slow connections needs a media pipeline and a delivery network. That is real engineering and a real running cost, so we confirm the scope with you, and it is usually only needed once video becomes a main use. A network built around short text posts and the occasional clip can wait, and the decision gets easier once you see how many members actually upload video.
An iOS build
The Android app ships ready, and we produce an iOS build for you. Beyond our work there is an Apple developer account, signing, and a review cycle that can take longer than the engineering itself. If most of your first members use Android or the web, launching without the iOS build is a reasonable choice, and it can follow once the community has settled.
Role splitting and enterprise login
The console has one operator role. If separate teams need narrower access, or your organization requires single sign-on, that is configuration or integration work sized against how your staff are actually organized. Bring a short list of the roles you imagine, such as moderators, advertising staff and administrators, and which screens each should reach, and the scope becomes concrete.
The six-day Twitter Clone launch, day by day
Launch takes six working days from kickoff. This is who does what on each day, so the schedule has no surprises on either side.
| Day | What we do | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1Decide the launch surface | We confirm which revenue lines go live first and walk through the three tiers, ad types and API settings. | Choose plan prices, the first revenue lines and whether the API opens at launch. |
| Day 2Branding across three surfaces | We apply your name, logo and colors to the web app, the Flutter app and the operator console. | Send logo files, colors and the wording for your moderation policy and warnings. |
| Day 3Deploy on your infrastructure | We deploy the application and the Firestore rules and indexes to the host and project you provide. | Provide the Linux host access and a Firebase project you own. |
| Day 4Connect your accounts | We connect Google sign-in, the referenced Stripe setup and push delivery with credentials you hold. | Create the Stripe and Google credentials and keep them in your own accounts. |
| Day 5Stand up the operator side | We create administrator accounts, configure the report queue, price the tiers and create a first ad campaign record. | Name your first moderators and confirm the policy they will enforce. |
| Day 6Walkthrough and handover | We run post, message, report and resolve end to end with your team, then hand over source and documentation. | Test with two accounts, read the audit entry and sign off on the handover. |

Why the Twitter Clone Price Is Fixed
Hourly work pays a vendor for taking longer, which is the wrong incentive when the product is already built. What you buy here is rebranding, deployment and handover of existing software, and those tasks have edges. That is why the number is a number and not a starting figure that grows during delivery. You can compare it with another quote line by line, since nothing in ours depends on how the work goes.
A fixed price commits us to a few things. The quote you approve is the amount you pay for the platform. Anything we set up around it is named, scoped and priced in writing before it starts. And the support and update periods are part of the same purchase, not an upsell attached afterwards. If a request would change the scope, we say so and price it first, and you decide whether to go ahead.
Try the live Twitter Clone demo
The demo runs the shipped build with demo branding on live infrastructure. Two member accounts let you talk to yourself in a private window, and the operator console shows the same activity from the moderator side. An Android build sits on the same API as the web client.

Twitter Clone cost FAQs
Is there a monthly license fee after purchase?
No. The platform price is paid once and covers the software, its deployment and the support and update periods. After that you pay only for your own hosting, your own Firebase usage and any tailored work you decide to add. There is no recurring fee to us. Your running bill depends on how active your members are, and the usage pages of your own cloud account show it plainly.
Do you take a percentage of what the network earns?
No. Tier income, ad revenue, creator shares and tips belong to you in full. We do not charge a share of transactions and we do not meter your member count. The only money that moves to others is processor fees and the infrastructure providers you pick.
How should I budget beyond the platform price?
List hosting, Firebase usage, payment fees, push and email delivery, store accounts and the people who will moderate. Then add anything we set up for you, such as another payment rail or an iOS build. Our team can walk through this with you before you commit. A useful habit is to assign each line an owner and a review date, so that the budget stays a living document and not a launch-week spreadsheet.
Is tailored work billed hourly?
Tailored work is scoped first and agreed in writing, so you approve a figure before anything starts. It typically takes two to eight weeks depending on size. You are not billed open-endedly while requirements shift, because the scope document is the contract. If your needs change midway, the change is written down and priced separately, and you decide whether to add it.
Why not just commission a custom build?
A custom build gives you control but costs far more and takes many months, and moderation, ad billing and the developer platform are each substantial on their own. Ready-made lets you start earning and learning sooner, then customize only where your market truly differs.
What happens to the price if I want fewer features?
It stays the same. The package is sold as a whole and you simply leave unwanted surfaces switched off or hidden. Removing a module does not lower the figure, but it also does not lower your option value, since you can enable it later without a release.
