Facebook Clone Development Cost: Price, Extras and Upkeep

A social network has two cost stories: the price of the software and the cost of running a busy community. This page separates them. You will see the one-time price of the ready-made platform, how it compares with building or renting, what is inside, and which running bills you will pay to other companies on accounts you control.

What the Facebook clone price buys

The ready-made platform costs $3,699, paid once. It covers the member web panel, the admin panel and Flutter apps for Android and iOS, delivered as complete unencrypted source code, rebranded with your name and colors and deployed on servers you control. There is no monthly license, and no share of your subscriptions, paid posts or ads comes to us. What you see in the demo across the member panel, admin and apps is the scope of that price, and anything tailored beyond it is described below.

That price is for software and not for running a network. Servers, storage, payment gateway fees, developer accounts for the app stores and the people who moderate content are separate costs paid to the companies that provide them. Keeping the two apart is the clearest way to budget, since the software price is fixed while service costs follow your audience. Budget in layers: the purchase first, then servers, storage and gateway fees that follow traffic, then people, and last any optional custom build. Only the first layer is fixed and paid before launch.

Ready-made, custom build or rented network software

There are three realistic routes to a social network, and their costs behave very differently over time. The table compares them in qualitative terms, because figures for routes we do not sell depend on your scope, your region and who you hire.

What moves the number above the base price

The base price does not change with the size of your membership. Anything that raises the total is tailored work we set up around the platform, and each item is confirmed in writing before it starts, so you approve a figure and do not watch one accumulate.

  1. Extra payment gateways

Seven gateways are supported. If your audience prefers a local provider that is not on the list, we connect it for you. The code is modest but the calendar is longer, because each provider has its own onboarding and test cycle. A typical case is a regional wallet that most of your members already use; it needs its own merchant approval, and it is wise to start that application before the technical work begins.

  2. New modules

The package includes many modules, from events to courses. A new module designed for your niche, such as a booking system or a specialized directory, is development work we tailor to your requirements and usually measured in weeks. A booking tool for a salon network or a directory for a professional association would be examples, and we scope it by listing the screens and the payments involved before estimating.

  3. Design beyond rebranding

Your logo, icons and colors are included. A distinct layout, a bespoke onboarding path or custom screens for a particular audience is design and development work, priced on the scope you agree and not on an estimate. A distinctive first screen can lift sign-ups for a niche audience, but it should be tested, so we usually agree on a small set of screens first and extend after you see results.

  4. Scaling and media delivery

A growing network serving video to many countries benefits from larger storage and a content delivery setup. These are infrastructure choices on your side, and any engineering needed to connect them is something we set up with you. Reels and live video are the heaviest content, and the first sign that you need this step is slow playback for members far from your server.

  5. Language and region work

A translation service and multi-language support are in place. Adding a full set of local translations, region-specific legal pages or country-specific features takes time and depends on how many markets you plan to launch in. Legal pages in particular should be written by your adviser for each country, and we then place them in the right screens and footers.

  6. Integrations with your systems

A network that must talk to your CRM, accounting system or a partner platform needs integration work. The code is mainstream, so any competent developer can do it, but the scope depends entirely on the systems involved. A typical request is sending new member data to a CRM or posting paid-subscription totals to an accounting tool, and each integration needs the other system's access details.

The six-day Facebook Clone launch, day by day

Launch takes six working days from kickoff. This is who does what on each day, so the schedule has no surprises on either side.

Six-day launch plan for the Facebook Clone
DayWhat we doWhat you do
Day 1Kickoff and module plan We review which modules you want live first, from marketplace and jobs to paid posts and live streaming. Decide the first modules, your target countries and the payment gateways you will use.
Day 2Rebranding We apply your logo, icons and color scheme to the web site, the admin panel and both mobile apps. Send brand files, name, domain and the wording for terms and policy pages.
Day 3Server setup We install the web, admin and NodeJS services with MySQL and MongoDB on the servers you provide. Provide server access, domain DNS and your object storage account if you use one.
Day 4Gateways and services We connect the gateways, Google Maps, Twilio and Firebase using the keys that you supply. Open the gateway accounts and generate the keys in your own name.
Day 5Admin configuration We set fees, VAT, approval queues, verification rules and permission groups to match your model. Define fee levels, who needs verification and who staffs the approval queues.
Day 6Testing and handover We run sign-up, posting, paid post, subscription and marketplace flows with you and hand over the source. Test as member, creator and admin, then approve handover and start store publishing.

Running costs that sit outside the price

Owning the code removes license fees, but a network still has operating bills. They are paid to other companies on accounts you hold, so you can see and compare them. Social media is media-heavy, which makes several of these larger than for a text site.

  • Servers and databases

The web, admin and database layers run on servers you choose and pay for. Sizing them for busy evenings rather than the average keeps the feed quick, and the cost rises as your daily active members increase. Run load tests before a campaign and keep spare capacity for evenings and weekends, because a feed that slows down on the busiest night costs more than the extra server.

  • Media storage and bandwidth

Photos, reels and live streams take space, and each view uses bandwidth. Providers such as DigitalOcean Spaces or Yandex Cloud Storage can hold the files, and the bill grows with uploads, so set sensible size limits early. Live streams and reels also multiply bandwidth, so decide early on a maximum upload size and clip length, and review storage after the first month of real activity.

  • Payment gateway fees

Each gateway takes a fee on wallet top-ups, subscriptions and purchases. Those fees are charged by the gateway on your account, not by us, and they reduce what a creator or the platform keeps from each payment. Refunds and disputes arrive at the gateway and reduce your balance, so decide what a refunded subscription does to a creator's earnings and write the rule into your terms.

  • Messaging, maps and push

Twilio for SMS, Firebase for push and Google Maps for location features bill by usage on accounts you own. Volumes depend on sign-ups and how many alerts you send, and SMS costs vary widely by country. Use one-time codes only where they protect something, such as sign-up and payouts, and let members choose which push notices they receive to keep the bill steady.

  • Store developer accounts

Publishing the mobile apps requires an Apple and a Google developer account, each with its own fee. We handle submission through to approval, but acceptance is decided by the stores and the accounts are yours. Keep the logins and billing contact with a named person at your company, because an app listing is tied to the account that created it and is hard to move later.

  • Moderation and support staff

Reviewing content, answering reports and helping members takes people. The tools are included, but the staff are not, and for an open network they are frequently the largest ongoing cost. Typical roles are a lead who trains reviewers, a person who answers reports within a stated time and an owner for serious incidents, which together keep trust without constant firefighting.

  • Tax and accounting advice

Wallets, subscriptions and VAT create bookkeeping duties that differ by country. The platform records transactions and applies the rules you set, but a qualified adviser is worth paying for before you collect money from members. Ask your adviser how creator earnings are reported, what you must withhold and when a payout becomes taxable, and write the answers into your creator terms.

Why the price is fixed and what we commit to

The price is set when you buy and does not move with your member count, your posts or what your creators earn. We are paid for the software once and take nothing from the subscriptions, tips and sales that pass through your network afterwards. That keeps our interests simple: a delivery that works, and a platform you can run without us.

In return we commit to the delivery terms: six working days to a branded platform, deployment on your servers, store publishing support, 60 days of technical bug support and a year of free updates. Tailored work beyond the ready build is confirmed before it starts, so the figure you agreed stays the figure you pay. If a request would change the delivery date or the price, we say so in writing before starting, and you decide whether to go ahead without affecting the base delivery.

Facebook Clone cost FAQs

Is there a monthly fee for the software?

No. You pay once and own the complete code. There is no subscription and no revenue share. Your recurring costs are the services you run it on, namely servers, storage, gateways, messaging and the app store accounts.

Does the price include servers and storage?

No. We deploy on servers you choose, and media storage is bought from a provider you select. Keeping them separate lets you choose what fits your region and budget, and change later without involving us. We also tell your team how the pieces fit together during handover, so moving to a different provider later is a normal task and not a rescue.

How should I estimate media costs?

Start with how many members you expect, how often they upload and how long videos will be. Your storage provider can price that, and you can limit upload size from the admin panel while you learn what members actually do.

How is tailored work priced?

We confirm the scope with you first and quote for it. Typical tailored projects take two to eight weeks. Because the code is unencrypted and uses common technologies, you can also give the same work to your own developers.

Are both mobile apps included?

Yes. The Android and iOS apps are both built in Flutter and are part of the package. We publish them to the stores on your developer accounts and see them through approval, though store timing is outside our control.

What happens after the support period?

You keep the platform and the code. The 60 days of technical bug support are followed by a year of free updates. After that you can maintain it yourselves, hire developers or ask us about paid help.

Can I start with fewer modules?

Yes. Modules can be switched on or off from the admin panel, so you can launch with the core network and add marketplace, jobs or courses later. You still own all of the code from the first day.
