MoboReels Clone Development Cost: Platform Price and Library Bills
For a library business the software is a small share of what you spend. Titles, encoding, subtitles and delivery grow with the catalog, while the platform price stays put. This page gives the one-time price, the additions that raise it and the bills that rise with every series you stock.

The platform price, apart from the cost of the library
The platform costs $3,999 once. It covers the viewer web app, the Flutter app, the catalog console and the API, deployed to your server under your brand, with full source code. No fee is charged per title, per episode or per viewer, and there is no share of your revenue coming to us. The console is part of that payment, so the tools for publishing, reordering and subtitling a growing library are included from the first title.
The library itself is a separate budget. Producing or licensing series, encoding, subtitling, storage and delivery are costs of the business that you pay directly and that grow with every title. We keep the platform price flat so that the number you plan around is the content, not the software. A realistic plan lists the first batch of titles, the cost per title to prepare them, and the date their licenses start.
Three ways to get a library-led drama service
The catalog tools are the part a quick build leaves for later, and later is when they become expensive. This comparison stays qualitative because the cost of building alone depends on team and region, and it shows what each route leaves you to finish.
| Aspect | Ready-made with GetFame | Custom build | Renting a SaaS |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upfront cost | $3,999 one-time | A large budget that grows with each admin screen | Low to start, repeated each billing period |
| Catalog console | Titles, episodes, regions and subtitles included | Built by your team, often late in the project | Whatever the vendor offers editors |
| Time to launch | 6 working days from kickoff | Many months before a library can be operated | Quick to start, bound by plan limits |
| Per-title charges | None | None, once built | Often tied to storage or plan tier |
| Licensor reports | Revenue by series and top episodes included | Reports you must design and maintain | Limited to the vendor dashboards |
| Source code | Full code for every client | Yours, since you pay for it | Not available |
| Revenue share | None to us | None, once built | A fee or percentage that grows with sales |
| Leaving later | Standard MongoDB you can move | Complete control of your stack | Content and viewers sit with the vendor |

What raises the price for a large library
The platform handles a steady flow of titles published by hand. Larger or more complex libraries tend to need some of the additions below, each confirmed with us from a short brief.
Bulk import from partners
If you license titles from partners that expose an API, a scheduled import brings them in as ordinary titles. The work depends on the partner format, field mapping and how often their content changes, and it is quoted after we read their documentation. Licenses for imported titles stay your responsibility.
Adaptive streaming
Viewers on weak connections benefit from adaptive bitrate playback. We set it up to work through a video service on your own account, so there are two lines: the scope we confirm with you and the monthly bill from the service as your library and audience grow.
A season structure
Seasons are modeled as separate titles today. A true season level with grouped episodes and shared locks touches the data model, the console and both viewer apps, so we scope it after we hear how your seasons should behave.
DRM for protected catalogs
Some licensors require protected streams. We add a license step in front of packaged streams and use your own vendor account. Cost combines our setup with the vendor fee, and testing takes time across devices. Ask the licensor what exactly they require before requesting an estimate, because the level of protection they accept changes how much testing is needed.
Personalized shelves
Shelves are composed by editors today. If you want ranking that learns from viewing, that is a custom build with its own data needs. We scope it from a brief and suggest starting with the series reports to guide hand-built shelves. A recommendation model needs enough viewing history to learn from, so it usually pays to wait until the library and audience are both large.
Hardening for partner audits
Licensors and partners sometimes require security reviews. Closing items from the hardening list, such as password storage and route-level permissions, is scoped work that depends on how many items you choose and what the auditor expects. Raise this at the start of a licensing conversation, since a review requested late in a negotiation can hold up a deal you have otherwise agreed.
The six-day MoboReels Clone launch, day by day
Launch takes six working days from kickoff. This is who does what on each day, so the schedule has no surprises on either side.
| Day | What we do | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1Kickoff and library mapping | We agree how your titles and chapters become categories, titles and numbered episodes, and collect brand assets. | Share a sample of your catalog, your logo and domain access. |
| Day 2Branding and settings | We apply your identity to all three clients and set locales, currency, free window and first prices. | Confirm the free window and pricing approach for the opening titles. |
| Day 3Server and storage | We deploy to your server and connect the object storage you picked, then test uploads of artwork, video and subtitles. | Provide hosting access and storage credentials. |
| Day 4Gateways and ads | We connect payment gateways and AdMob units and test a purchase and a rewarded unlock. | Supply merchant keys and ad unit IDs. |
| Day 5First titles and territories | We help load the first titles, number episodes, attach trailers and subtitles and apply region chips. | Deliver episode files, artwork and territory details. |
| Day 6Handover and reports | We hand over code and documents, walk staff through reorder and analytics, and start app publishing support. | Open store accounts and approve the build. |

Why the price does not grow with the library
A library business adds titles constantly, so any charge tied to content volume would punish the very activity that makes the service worth using. The platform price is a single payment with no meter on titles, episodes or viewers. Stock a hundred series or a thousand and the software cost stays the same. That lets you plan growth around what you can license and prepare, with no ceiling set by the software side.
We commit to the platform shown in the demo, delivered under your brand with the source code, and to quoting anything beyond it in writing before work starts. You also get sixty days of technical support and a year of free updates. The variable costs that follow are those of content and delivery, and they are yours to manage.
Try the live MoboReels Clone demo
The demo is best used for catalog work: publish a title, reorder its episodes, watch the numbering and locks follow, then add a subtitle file and see it in the player. It carries our demo branding and a seed catalog of royalty-free stills, so judge the tools rather than the titles.

MoboReels Clone cost FAQs
Do I pay more for storing more episodes?
Not to us. You pay your own hosting or storage provider for space and delivery, and that bill grows with the library and the audience. The platform price is fixed. Choose local disk, AWS S3 or DigitalOcean Spaces in settings, and place a CDN in front of the bucket as your audience grows.
What does encoding cost?
We do not charge for it because the platform has no encoding pipeline. You prepare episodes in a consistent vertical format before upload, using your own staff or a vendor. If you add adaptive streaming, a video service on your own account handles encoding and bills you directly for it.
Can I begin with a small catalog?
Yes, and many operators do. A handful of well-chosen series with cleared rights teaches more than a large uneven library. You can add titles at any time through the console, and the price you paid does not change as the catalog grows. Choose the first series for how they end each episode, since the first lock is where you learn whether viewers will pay.
Is tailored work billed as a monthly retainer?
No. Tailored work is estimated from a written brief with a fixed scope and usually takes two to eight weeks. You approve the figure before work begins, and you can decline. After the support window you may also hand the source to your own engineers. A brief that names the screen, the action and the expected result gets a faster and more accurate estimate than a general wish.
What do I need to budget for before launch day?
Hosting, storage, a payment gateway account, developer accounts for the stores, ad unit setup, and above all titles with cleared rights and subtitles. These are paid to those providers and not to us. The platform deployment itself takes about six working days. Of the whole list, rights and subtitles usually take longest, so begin them before anything else.
Does the price cover the Flutter app?
Yes. The Flutter app for iOS and Android is part of the platform, along with the web app and the console. We help prepare the builds for store submission, while developer accounts and review outcomes remain with you and the stores. Allow time for the first review, since stores sometimes ask for changes before accepting a listing.
